Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 28, 2026  |  Last Updated: April 29, 2026

NodeNow VPN ("NodeNow", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights when you use our website, VPN service, mobile application, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide, operate, protect, and improve NodeNow VPN.

  • Account Information: Email address, user ID, encrypted password hash, account status, subscription status, and related account settings.
  • Subscription and Payment Information: Plan type, purchase status, subscription period, order status, transaction identifiers, and payment confirmation data needed to activate or manage your subscription. We do not store your full credit card number, bank account information, or Google Play payment credentials on our servers.
  • Device and App Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, language setting, and basic diagnostic information used for compatibility, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
  • VPN Connection Metadata: Limited technical metadata such as VPN session start and end time, selected server or node, connection status, total data usage, app version, and subscription status. This information is used for service operation, billing, device/session management, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
  • Support Information: If you contact us for support, we may process your email address, chat messages, support history, screenshots, diagnostic information, and any information you choose to provide.

2. Use of Android VpnService

NodeNow uses Android's VpnService API to create a VPN tunnel between your device and the VPN server selected by you or automatically selected by the app through Smart Mode.

VpnService is used only to provide the core VPN connection feature, including VPN connection management, Smart Mode, node selection, connection status, traffic routing through the VPN tunnel, and user-selected app-based VPN exclusions.

NodeNow does not use VpnService to monitor, sell, or monetize user traffic, inject advertisements, redirect advertising traffic, collect browsing content, or track the websites and services you access.

VPN traffic is routed only for the purpose of providing the VPN connection requested by the user. Apps selected in the "VPN Excluded Apps" feature are excluded from the VPN tunnel according to the user's own choice.

3. VPN Connection Data

To provide and manage the VPN service, NodeNow may process limited VPN connection metadata such as session start and end time, selected server, data usage, connection status, app version, device type, and subscription status.

Your IP address may be processed temporarily as part of normal network communication, authentication, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, service security, and troubleshooting. We do not use this information to track the websites you visit or the content of your traffic.

We do not log your browsing history, DNS query content, traffic content, or the websites and services you access through the VPN tunnel.

4. VPN Excluded Apps

NodeNow may display the list of installed apps on your device so that you can choose which apps should be excluded from the VPN connection.

The installed app list and package names used for the VPN exclusion feature are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers, unless required for troubleshooting with your explicit support request.

This feature is provided only to help users manage app-based VPN routing preferences.

5. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or store the content of your online activity through the VPN tunnel.

  • We do not log your browsing history.
  • We do not log the content of DNS queries.
  • We do not log the content of traffic transmitted through the VPN tunnel.
  • We do not inspect, sell, or monetize the content of your VPN traffic.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising or cross-site advertising tracking.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Create, authenticate, and manage your account.
  • Provide, maintain, and improve our VPN service.
  • Manage subscriptions, payment status, service periods, and plan access.
  • Provide Smart Mode, node selection, connection status, and app-based VPN exclusion features.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, service attacks, and security incidents.
  • Respond to customer support requests and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Send essential service communications, including account alerts, subscription notices, security notices, and service updates.
  • Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

7. Payment and Subscription Information

For purchases made in the Android app distributed through Google Play, NodeNow uses Google Play Billing to process subscriptions and in-app purchases.

We do not store your full credit card number, bank account information, or Google Play payment credentials on our servers.

Where permitted by Google Play policy and applicable law, an alternative billing option may be offered together with Google Play Billing. In such cases, payment transaction information necessary to activate, verify, or manage your subscription may be processed by the selected billing provider and reported as required by Google Play policy.

If you purchased or activated a subscription outside the Google Play-distributed Android app, your subscription status may still be used only to provide access to the NodeNow service after you log in.

8. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services that process limited data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Google Play Billing: Used to process subscriptions and in-app purchases for users who purchase through the Android app distributed on Google Play.
  • Alternative Billing Provider: Used only where permitted by Google Play policy and applicable law. Transaction information may be processed to activate and manage subscriptions.
  • Crash Reporting and Diagnostics: We may use crash-reporting or diagnostic tools to improve app stability and investigate technical issues.
  • Crisp Live Chat: If you contact us through live chat, Crisp may process your chat messages, email address, IP address, device information, and support history according to its own privacy policy.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security purposes.

Limited VPN connection metadata used for service operation, billing, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting may be retained for up to 12 months, unless a longer retention period is required by law or necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents.

Support records may be retained for as long as necessary to respond to your request, maintain service quality, and keep a record of issue resolution.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted communication between the app and our servers using TLS where applicable.
  • Secure VPN protocols and encrypted VPN tunnels where supported by the selected protocol and server configuration.
  • Hashed password storage — we do not store plaintext passwords.
  • Access controls to limit internal access to personal data.
  • Monitoring and security measures to detect abuse, unauthorized access, and service attacks.
  • Regular review of security settings and infrastructure configuration.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. However, we take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

11. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13 or the applicable age of digital consent in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. International Data Transfers

NodeNow operates servers and service infrastructure in multiple countries. By using our service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including countries that may have different data protection standards.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are applied when personal data is transferred or processed internationally.

14. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website (nodenow.net) may use essential cookies to maintain session state, remember language preferences, improve website functionality, and protect the website from abuse.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site advertising tracking on our website. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

15. Data Safety and App Store Disclosures

The information described in this Privacy Policy is intended to be consistent with our app store data safety disclosures. The exact data collected may depend on your platform, app version, selected features, subscription method, and support interactions.

If you use the Android app distributed through Google Play, purchases and subscriptions made inside that app are handled through Google Play Billing unless an alternative billing option is lawfully and officially provided under Google Play policy.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
